job search

Please keep me in your prayers, friends. I have started a job search. I have emailed my resume to a few places, but I am not sure if they are what I want or not.

I think I have found a really cool opportunity...I had found a website that lists non-profit job opportunities -- www.idealist.org -- this site lead me to another site for an AmeriCorp group in Cape Cod -- www.rdoac.org -- I have requested additional information. I am also downloading their application already to start the process. It is not a huge paying job, but I think it is an awesome opportunity! The do huge amounts of wor in education, environmental issues, disaster preparedness and community outreach in the Cape Cod area. It would be hard to move away from St. Louis, but I think I would enjoy it if I were able to go. I wanna go!!! This would also be a position where I would be able to visit with my dad's family more (not all the time, but more than I am used to since they are in Maine and I would be in Massachusetts).

So, should I go for it?? I think I have a lot of qualities they are looking for -- I love helping, I have an education, I have experience, I learn quickly, I can do it all! LOL

toodles!

hope your Easter was lovely!

Easter was nothing to spectacular this year -- i got my dad a Peep's pillow. i also did baskets for my brother & for my 2 Sunday School girls and my church secret pal (the one i give to)...i got a small gift from my secret pal (the one who has me) last week.

my dad & i & meghan went to the breakfast that our church did. i had said i would make Jell-O eggs...but only one batch came out (that i had made incorrectly, lol) -- the next batch was in the fridge for 5 hours and never set up!!! grrrrrrrrr so i just made 2 kinds of Jell-o in bowls (one was regular, one was sugar free) and then decorated with some spray whipped cream...

my brother's allergies were horrid on sunday, so he did not come down...so my dad & i ate some ham & hard boiled eggs and pie -- just the 2 of us...

nothing too exciting for the holiday here, but it is always nice to spend time in fellowship at church -- especially to help remind us of Jesus' death and RESURRECTION (the extra important part) that was all for US poor sinners

have a wonderful day!

now to secure funding

so i think i know what i truly want to do -- i thought about it BEFORE college, after i graduated, and at other various points...it keeps coming back to me...

now i just need to get going on getting the funding and being accepted into the training program -- i want to be a "staff minister" with my synod -- not a pastor, not a teacher but a called worker who is synodically trained and working in conjunction with pastors and teachers...i think it would be fun! and a way to share my faith and work with a church, but have that be the way i make my living...

i suppose i could get student loans for the academic part (also could cover books, etc) and i suppose i could live on campus (again lol) but i would still have bills to pay (pay off my credit cards, car, gas, etc)...any ideas???

i just want to cry...

my life is in such disarray...

i am in need of a change in my life -- i feel like i could/should be doing so much more with my life. i feel the need to find a new job, but nothing is coming from my searches :( i feel like my job is not where i should be...i love what i do, but i feel like i should be helping more people with what i do...i just don't know what...

i have done nothing more than the first 2 days on the 21 day challenge -- i just don't feel like doing anything...i don't feel like working...i don't feel like scrapping...i don't feel like cleaning (who does, i know!) i just want to lay in bed and read...i want to be a change in the world, but i can't figure out how!!!

i miss my mom right now so much and i just can't figure out why it comes out now

i am happy, but i am sad...i am content, but mixed up...i just pray to God to help in whatever way He sees fit....
