so last night i was watching one of the hour long news programs....they were talking about hurricane katrina (like everyone else is doing right now)...the anchor was talking with the "mayor" or new orleans, ray nagin.
the anchor asked nagin WHY the houses had not been bulldozed/rebuilt/etc a year later....nagin replied "look at new york. it has been 5 years and there is still a giant hole in the ground"...that DISGUSTED me!!how can you compare an act of God/natural disaster in the form of a hurricane to the largest terrorist attack in US history!? how can you compare a storm that there was advanced warning for (that the "mayor" paid no heed to) to four planes crashing because of terrorists and hate? WTF?!!?!? that man needs to apologize to the rest of society, because what he said is hurtful and HATEful to every person in this nation because EVERY person in this nation was hurt on 9/11...
i went and scrapped some more this evening...created 4 pages, 2 cards (about 1 page) and a 13 page mini album w/ covers (about 10 pages worth of work)...for a total of 15 pages!! so i am 50% of the way done!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo!! the rest of my day was spent: at church for some quick things and taking a nap! toodles!
today i got the laundry done & went a few places....got some more adhesive since i am scrappin' up a storm! did 5 pages this afternoon -- so i am 35% of the way done!! WOOHOO!!! 35 down, 65 to go...35/100... went to the Y tonight with meghan for a Cheetah Girls 2 party -- not quite what we expected -- i took about 15 or so pictures of her doing different activities (climbing wall, basketball, etc), but i took FILM pictures (which i love doing) so it will be awhile until they are developed... tomorrow youthgroup is doing the snacks for Bible class AND a car wash....i am kind of hoping it rains tomorrow morning!! toodles!
props & good luck to my pal mark!! he is on his way to moving from iowa (where he went to seminary) to minnesota for his first call!! way to go mark! today i went to the Y and sorted laundry....that is all.... tomorrow is actually doing the laundry....and going to visit my Godfather....and that is about it!! have an awesome weekend!! toodles
so i was productive again today! went to the Y and worked out, went grocery shopping with my dad, visited friends at 2 schools and got the green ink pad i wanted! woohoo!! i also bought some papers i have been looking for and a couple of clearance embellishments, but they will not get used until i do 100 pages!!
speaking of that 100 page challenge, i worked some today -- finished 4 pages, a paper bag book (about 4 pages worth of work) and 4 cards (about 2 pages worth of work) -- so ANOTHER 10 pages done!! 30 down, 70 to go...30% done!! toodles!
in a way! (ok, i know it rhymes and is stupid, lol) today i went to: the bank, the library, the grocery store (2x) AND i got my hair cut...i also went to 2 places looking for a needed ink pad, but no one had it, so i may try some other places tomorrow (this is as needed as adhesive or cardstock, lol)... no pages done today :( but tomorrow i have some places to go to & then i am going to scrap some more! ok, i am a D-O-R-K! i am now signed up to myspace...found a few friends from high school & college that i miss, and some that i don't want to see again, lol toodles!
so i am trying for 100 pages before i buy anything....i did 10 the other day and today i did 8 pages & 5 cards (about equal to 2 pages) so another 10!! woohoo!! 20 down, 80 to go...20% done...1/5 of the way there!!! toodles!
i stayed in my jammies all day today...tomorrow i am going to the Y to work out (first time in forever) and to the library...then i am going to scrap some more because i haven't been down to scrap anything since saturday afternoon and i need to be creative!! now off to go print some resumes! toodles
My pal, Lynne, posted about this on her blog (see my links) -- can you complete 100 pages without buying anything new?? (exceptions are adhesive and cardstock)...i am going for it!! i started this afternoon (after i got home from the LSS)...and i have finished 10 pages (all a mini album of my school pictures)! woohoo!! 10% of the way there! 10 down, 90 to go... comment if you are going to play along!
i went to Archiver's yesterday after my interview -- got some adhesive, some flowers (from doodlebug & they were ON SALE) and another paper pack of Basic Grey's Phresh & Phunky because it is my favorite line & i want to use it in my book of me growing up :) today i went to For Keeps Sake to get some brown distress ink because mine was acting pretty dry (i keep leaving the kid off -- oops!)...i found the ink i wanted and i also got BOTH new Basic Grey sets (first place i have seen them)!! i lead a boring life, so i am sorry if my lack of blogging has made anyone sad, lol...i was doing so well blogging everyday, but there is just nothing to say right now...hopefully soon i will be able to blog about a new job!!! i keep watching weird late night tv shows -- "intervention" and "dog, bounty hunter" on a&e, old reality show reruns, all sorts of weird shows!! they are interesting to a point, but then i need to watch until the end so i know what the heck happens! BUT, they keep me up some nights until 2 am...gotta stop that habit before i get a job! well, off to read some more (i have a book due wednesday) -- and maybe set my alarm -- my neighbors start school tomorrow!!! toodles!

so the day started out alright -- went to the LSS and hung out pricing some stuff (all 59 huge boxes from EK are DONE!)...got to chat with my pal Mary Jo for awhile...ate some pizza for lunch...went to the library (after about 4 hours at the LSS) -- got my 4 books on hold...went to the mall, got 2 pairs of jeans for $49! (buy 1 get 1 for $10, PLUS it is tax free weekend here in missouri! WOOHOO!!) spent some time with my dad at the mall (he was walking)...went to go back to the LSS -- MY CAR WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i called the dealership...called AAA....ended up getting my car towed to the dealership, where they might get to it this weekend...luckily my dad was at the mall, so i had a ride, etc...
