Oh my!

Over the past 3 years (2012 to the present), I have only posted 19 times.  I am such a slacker!!  I just have not been inspired to post...not sure why because I have done some pretty fun things!

So let's do some catch-up...

Working: still looking for my own classroom (certified 5-12 Language Arts and 5-9 Social Studies if you know of anything!) and still working my same jobs -- teacher assistant for students with special needs and Mad Scientist after school & at summer camps (robots & secret agents).

Creating: still scrapbooking (lots of crops happening this summer!), in a card swap group of 6, in a stamp club that meets once a month to make cards and buy stamps.

Reading: anything and everything, lol!  I have completed 24 novels so far this year (average is quicker than 1 a week!) plus picture books and such.  I am currently reading 2 different books -- Defy and The Great Gatsby.

Sitting: for dogs and kids occasionally...it is a great way for me to make a little bit of money (especially in the summer) and get some time at a place other than my house!

Photographing: mainly with my iPhone (and mainly posted through instagram)...last fall I dropped my Nikon point-and-shoot (that had already had repairs that cost more than the camera when it was about 3 months old) so I am basically digital camera-less.  I have an OLD Canon to use for now, and I am slowly looking for a new one for later this year or as a Christmas gift -- it will NOT be a Nikon as their customer service was so horrible.

Watching: last movie I saw in the theater was Catching Fire...most recent movie I saw was Monuments Men (on demand)...need to see The Lego Movie, The Fault in our Stars, and so so many more!!!

Recovering: from an extra long school year that came on the heals of an extra (EXTRA) long winter break -- we ended up with 10 snow days this school year!  Most of them tacked themselves onto the rear end of our winter break...even the kids were anxious to get back to school & routine!

Loving: my life!!

crazy week or so!!

to give you an idea of the past couple weeks...

2/28: no power at work; kids dismissed early; had to take personal time to leave
3/1: work & babysitting some awesome kids (and a cat with tummy troubles!!)
3/2: work, mad science, church...breathing optional!
3/3: work & mad science
3/4: work & driving in to swap my mad science kits
3/5: relaxing...finally!
3/6: power hour & church...
3/7: work & picking up the new headlight assembly for my car
3/8: work...and rain...and an unexpected detour that should last about a month!!

i feel like i am always in my car going somewhere...and nothing seems that close to me...but this week has been pretty positive so far...

lazy daisy

today i got to be a lazy daisy -- this has not happened much recently! i sat and watched tv & played on the computer a lot today...i did make a costco trip (always a ton of work) and delivered some items to friends...i also started laundry...tomorrow i vow to get things finished -- because i want monday (a day off!) to be fun!!!

long day....

today was a long, long day...worked all day (including time with a student who was not in the mood to do anything but blame others)...then onto my part time job...then the mall to make some returns and such...gone from the house for a full 12 hours...

tomorrow i will be gone even longer, but that will include some fun time -- cropping!!

oopsie daisy!

i missed a day. i have blogged every single day so far this year. i am sad. i will, though, probably have a day that i blog more than once, so i may end my year on a high note...

sunny and close to 60 for most of this week -- some rain tomorrow -- but, even though we have a ton of moisture on the ground right now, the rain will be nice -- clean the streets off, clean the cars off, melt more of the snow...i am really enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather, but i am cautious & nervous -- it is only february! we are going to be in for something major...i can feel it -- it may be storms in the spring...it may be snow in late spring early summer...i know it will include major flooding...but it is too early for this nice weather, so i think there will be some karma coming our way later this year...

a day in my life...

not sure what to blog, so here is a typical day for me:

5 am -- wake up
6 am -- leave for work, eat something for breakfast in the car
7:10 am -- clock in...work all day
2:40 pm -- clock out
3:15 pm -- home if i do not have mad science after work or some other stop to make...
4 pm -- gilmore girls on abc family, lol
9 pm -- news
10:30 pm -- bed...

how exciting?!!? i know, pretty boring!!
