carolyn & i heard this song on the minibus between kiev & chernihiv this past summer! it was a fun song! she found the lyrics! now, to find it downloadable, lol

the classes were great (for the most part) -- Jenni Bowlin is the most wonderful person i met there; vanessa hudson's class was so cool & i love her way of making scrapping fun & easier; gretchen's class was cool - i just need to journal & i will be done!!; i love the book we did with angelia (again, just journaling plus embellishing); the plaque we made in monique's class is a cute way of using acrylic albums; wilna was AWESOME -- she is so sweet & the project idea is way cool; heidi swapp -- NOT my fave, no matter what people want to believe! i love (most of) her products, and the idea of what we did was cool, but to have the crappy rubons that are out in her name in the kit -- and admit they suck?? she needs to not have those in there -- there are other brands that DO work OR just use letter stickers or some other form of lettering!! plus, she used "retard" and "retarded" to describe something and i HATE those words -- she basically turned me off to what a "wonderful person" everyone swoons over...
on saturday we had this SNL (saturday night layouts) event -- it was the first time they did it & the concept is a neat & unique one, but it just did NOT work as they wanted it to!!
sunday, after the SE event, we went to classes at a LSS in nashville by Debby Schuh! they were AWESOME!! both classes were unique takes on things i have done, but it was cool to see new ideas and ways of doing something similar to what has been done before!

i have about 80 or so photos from this past weekend in nashville -- then today i took another 15-20 of all the flowers that are blooming!! then the battery died, so the camera has to charge before i can upload any photos :)
it was 81+ today!! it is almost like summer here (at least early summer, it can get close to 100 here in the hottest part!)...it is so nice to be able to sit outside and read or just relax -- and everything is blooming & growing!! the trees have baby leaves, the tulips are gorgeous, the lilacs (one of my faves) smell so wonderful, and the violets are carpeting the yard!! my mom would be so happy...

tomorrow is classes at one of the LSS here, then, FINALLY, home!!!well, today was 4 classes -- first was Jenni Bowlin and she was AWESOME and fun; next was Heidi Swapp and it was not what i expected at all (plus she used a term that i don't like to hear); after lunch was Angelia W and that class was fun and i love the project; last was Gretchen W and i love the book we did in there! i need to do some journaling, etc, then i will be done with a lot
then this evening we had a creative cafe from creative imagainations -- the presentation was cool but i did nothing, lol, i am still deciding if i want to do it the way they talked about or not...

so tonight was the beginning of scrap etc -- we had registration, an opening session, and the en "exclusive q & a" with the instructors
i went up at the end and thanked jenni bowlin for the awesome kits! she asked my name, and i said becky, she looked at my last name and said, oh, it says rebecca on your kit!!
now THAT is customer service!!!

i am in NASHVILLE!! long day, i am tired, but excited, so i am posting quick before getting ready for bed :)

i am pretty well packed (a few things to pull together) and i need to stop at target and office max tomorrow -- then i can be DONE! i will be ready to go so i can relax tomorrow night as well :)
i have a few gifts left to wrap -- the 3 for my secret sister -- then that will be done, too!! i have more than enough for her, so some may be coming out (things i had put in as filler, etc)...
off to relax!!
toodles!just a few more days and i will be headed to nashville!! i have started to get my clothes together and am just waiting on my tool and tote bags to dry (i scotchgaurded them) so i can get those things all pulled together! i have the gifts i want as thank you's and all my secret sister gifts together -- now i just need to wrap them!!! tomorrow (i think) i am going to stop at target to get some goodies for the road and for my st. louis and roommate pals!
soon i will be relaxed!
toodles!almost 11:30 PM, and i need to get a post in!! i am trying to keep up with my own challenge -- which will be hard in less than a week in nashville when i will be so busy i don't think i will have a lot of time to post!
today i was at a crop with my friends! i got a ton done -- 11 pages!! last night was a crop at FKS and i got 4 pages done! but now it is no scrapping for me until i am back from nashville!!
tomorrow is sunday school and then youthgroup!! i told them lunch & meeting and then a surprise activity -- not sure what it will be, lol! i think we may be going to the art museum or some other fun thing in forest park -- it will depend on the weather and how the girls are doing! if nothing else, we'll go bowling, lol

it is almost time!!!!!! i have ideas of what clothes to take, and i will start packing this weekend (once laundry is done, etc.) and on sunday i will be working on getting my supplies all ready and packed up! homework is together, i have some gifts to wrap, and probably some last minute shopping to complete (snacks, etc.)

i am busy, but i'm not, does that make any sense at all??
next week -- on wednesday -- i leave for nashville with some friends for scrap etc. i have a million things running through my head for that, when i should be doing other things, like cleaning, or putting laundry away, or homework for linguistics...
it is hard to concentrate on real life at the moment, lol
I love my Tote-ally Cool Tote 2 that i got at CostCo this past fall -- but the zipper on the bottom pocket quit working!!!
so on sunday i dug around and emailed AMM to get a suggestion on how to fix it...
on monday i had an e-mail, from a real person, apologizing for the zipper and asking what color i wanted them to send me my replacement bag in!!!
NOW THAT IS AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!so this weekend was a 20 hour crop at FKS! saturday was 10-10 and sunday was 9-5...on saturday i was there from 10-7 (i had to babysit that night) and sunday i was there from about 11:30 to 4:30 (i had to teach power hour this morning)...
saturday i worked on making things for SE (in 2 weeks!!) -- i made about 60-65 tags or envelopes to swap with people! if i have time, i may create a few more little things to swap, but i doubt i will!! i also made a little book to give to my secret sister while we are down there :)
sunday i did 2 12x12 pages and a cardinals mini book with pictures from a game i went to a year and a half ago!! they had a little make-n-take that i did -- simple and fun and messy!!
this week is also a lot of cropping! friday is a crop at FKS, and then saturday is a 12-hour crop at a local church to benefit their senior high youth going on mission trips!! then next week -- wednesday is when we leave for NASHVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have a little bit of homework left (journaling stuff and i need a self-portrait).....

and i am enjoying it!! this one is very good and has kept my interest! i am almost finished and then i will need to go find another one to read!!!
her 15th book recently came out, so i still have 2/3 of her n ovels to read!!i would recommend her books!!

my photo homework for SE is FINISHED!!!!!!!!!! i printed a bunch of photos tonight, and ordered a bunch through costco, so by this weekend i will have all the photos in my hands! i need to dig around and maybe get some more of the supplies (inks and such) and do the journaling prompts on a few classes, then i will be completely finished!!!
in other news,
today was paraprofessionals day at school!! we were treated to bagels, lunch, cake, cards, letters, and earlier in the week we got gift cards!! last year we got nothing, so i was totally surprised! this year has been a total blessing!!
