house-sitting & homework!

well, i am on another adventures in housesitting tour right now!!

here for about a week more, so over thanksgiving, but my week will be spent doing homework!!! i have (finally) done an online quiz for my sped class, and now i think i will have 4 more!! BUT, we have a HUGE list of questions for each chapter and the quizes come straight from those, so i have started to skim the chapters for the answers -- i am through chapter 5 on those, and quizzed through 3, so i am well on my way, lol...i will also be doing some reading and writing for my online class, so that will be fun (?) and exciting (??)...i also plan on starting to research for my final paper in my sped class

other than homework, i get to go to work 2 days while i am up here, go to an eye exam later today, teach power hour tomorrow (after driving all the way down to pick up meghan so she can sing at church), go to lunch wednesday with friends, spend thanksgiving with family & friends, and go to a crop friday! what a busy week i have -- and it is a short week!!!

i am a little sad, though -- my laptop wont work here!! when i was here in september babysitting it worked fiine for internet, but not now :( so no im-ing! luckily i can use their computer whenever i want, so it is all good :)

what a blustery day!

i about froze my @$$ off while the student i work with was at PE -- about 20 minutes outside for soccer -- for me meant sitting on metal bleachers with the wind blowing! i was bundled up as best as possible, but, man was it cold!

my favorite season is coming up & i am really excited! i have a lot of my christmas stuff done already :) i need to write my letter and get those done, and i need to get a few more gifts (my dad mainly!) and make quite a few gifts...this should be a busy time! especially with classes finishing up for the semester.....

i need to make some final decisions on some craft ideas for power hour for christmas, i think i am going to order some from oriental trading -- i get their inspirations catalog & there are a lot of cool, easy, inexpensive crafts in there!

i also need to get some youthgroup sign ups made! we have: meeting on 11-25, soup supper on 12-5, meeting/party/caroling on 12-16, and a LOCK IN on 12-31/1-1!! EEK!!!!!!!!

well, i have been a poster at a site for quite some time, and now i am seeing the need for a change -- they are no longer my homepage :( maybe one day i will feel the urge to return, but for now, it is not the place for me, it is not healthy for me to be there.....

almost a week!

it has been an uber busy time for me!

last week consisted of:
work, class, creating a study guide AND test on ancient Egypt, babysitting Meghan (overnight) on Thursday, and a whirl-wind trip to AMERICAN GIRL PLACE in Chicago on Friday with Meghan!!!!! we took the 4:35 AM train to Chicago, and got back to St. Louis at about 10:40 PM! i have to get my photos uploaded, but don't worry! there will be some posted (I took over 125!)!!!

this week (i know, it is only monday) has been:
laundry, homework, Power Hour, work, registering for spring '08, changing sheets, homework, and now i am ready for dinner and then a QUICK youthgroup meeting! should be an interesting night!!
