i'm leavin' on a jet plane...

heading to colorado for the week to visit family & friends...i will try and post while i am gone, but unsure of the internet situation where i will be!

movies galore!

on the 15th i was at an event and they had sets of free tickets available for 2 different advance screenings...i grabbed up one for each...

first up was "the proposal" on june 18th -- i thought this movie was hilarious!! it is certainly a "chick flick" but i think the guys would like it as well...there were some touching moments and a lot of comedy...2 thumbs up from me!



then last night, june 25th, i got to see "public enemies" -- johnny depp is hot in pretty much everything, so that was a plus...this movie had a little love, but a lot of shoot outs and car chases...i think a lot of guys would love this movie, but, to me, it dragged a lot -- i mean, how often can you see someone get shot?? 1 thumb up, but maybe 2 for guys....

oh my!

since wednesday i have been BUSY!

wednesday night i got a call about babysitting -- could i make thursday night (nope!) but i could do friday night and during the day saturday (over night!)...

thursday was work and it went well (as it should!) and that night i got to go to the [free] advance showing of "the proposal"...that movie is AWESOME! i love going to movies when it isn't too full so you get your pick of seats, but i had forgotten how fun it is to go when the place is packed! everyone was laughing and clapped at the end...the movie had some really moving parts, and it was a great movie overall! i would highly recommend going to see it

friday was work, then quick packing, then babysitting...it was a nice night with all 4 of the kids...i also called my aunt in colorado once the kids were sleeping (by 10!)...

saturday was great babysitting, too -- the kids got up between 8 and 9...we did a couple projects and watched some movies (it was way too hot to be outside too long)...their gramma picked them up about 3:30 and i could go home! i took my dad to red robin for father's day for dinner -- our normal waitress (the awesome bartender melissa) doesn't work on saturdays, so it wasn't quite normal, but it was still good food and a fun time!

this morning (sunday) was church...then i came home and worked on some harry potter crafts for a swap i am in over at craftster.org...i finished stitching one item and started painting on a few things...i need to finish the painted items, get some candy, bead somethings, and then see what else i need to complete...i may add some other fun things (does michaels carry carving tools??)...my dad & i also went out to my brother's place...then we headed to madison's for dinner -- always good food!!

this week is work, and cropping this weekend :) i am also going to be getting ready for COLORADO! i fly out a week from tomorrow and get back on the morning of the 4th!! i am very excited because i will get to spend some time with my aunt and my friend danielle...

so this is getting really long...i need to work on updating this blog a little more often, but sometimes i just wonder if anyone is reading or not....

life and other plans

if i were going to rename my blog, that would be it -- "life and other plans"...pretty catchy, ain't it?

finally a night without rain this week...i am sick of storms and rain...

not much happening lately -- saw "night at the museum 2" and "angels and demons" recently -- both are very good! been crafty for some swaps, and am signed up for a harry potter swap! i am going to do some stitching & not sure what else....

tomorrow i am off, so i am free to play & run some errands! cropping tomorrow night at FKS and saturday is the komen walk....

i created in my scrappy room today!!!! i made 28 cards for a swap i am angeling for at craftster.com...i did not clean it all up as i need to finish 8 more cards tomorrow...then i will pick it all up!

summer school starts next week...weeeee! that lasts 6 weeks...

after that i am house sitting for 2 weeks

other than that, not much happening this summer -- hopefully some scrapping, and some movie watching, and some more organizing of the scrap room -- i am almost there!!!!!!!
