guess what i just read...

third in a series...

symbols & ancient mysteries...

i really enjoyed this book! i think it is my favorite book about robert langdon...there were some awesome twists in the story and it was wonderful to have the story take place in the USA!! i recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read -- especially if they like mysteries or history...

crazy times...

life has been very busy lately...2 classes, full time work, part time work, a social life, church...do i have time for any of it???

classes i am in are going well -- depending on the grade in one class, i will have my masters come the end of october! :) certification will be complete once i student teach in fall 2010...

full time work is crazy -- as it always is when young teens are involved! -- lots of fun projects happening...and kids are getting less crabby...i have been able to truly do some real language arts teacher things -- like give oral fluency tests! yay me!

part time work is just busy as we start another year with trainings and assignments of places...

been scrapping all the time, lol...although this friday we are going to paint pottery! saturday is the scrapping day this weekend :)

church has been good -- power hour was fun on sunday, but it is going to be an interesting year! i hope more kids start coming :(

off to check my facebook farm (country life) and then head to bed!

9/11/2009 - continued

here is my facebook status from yesterday (9/11/2009):

Becky is remembering those who have sacrificed for the freedoms of all Americans -- those who lost their lives that fateful day 8 years ago, their families and friends, the soldiers from military groups from all over the world, their families and friends, our own "everyday" heroes - police, firefighters, emts, etc - and anyone who has ever said a prayer or sent a positive though to any of these brave men and women.

sick

i know, i have been a blog slacker...i really need to post more...

school has started -- a mixed up schedule at work is taking some getting used to...but the kids are good and the new 6th graders are doing well at gaining more independence...

classes are going alright, but the professors are just a tad unorganized this year, so i am still trying to figure out what is happening in my classes (and we are 2 weeks into an 8 week term!)...financial aid is being a pain in the @$$ so i am mad at them...

powerhour starts next week -- so excited to see my kidlets again!

been scrapping a lot, have things i would love to work on, but no time to lately -- but in less than a month is the big retreat, so i can have lots of fun there :)

on to the Shack -- i loved this book!! i read a copy from the library, but i need to buy myself a copy so i can read it again and mark it up!! this book takes a look at God and the Trinity from a very different perspective...i really like how the 3 Persons of the Trinity were described and went about their days...this book was poignant and touching and really makes one look at how they view religion and God...http://theshackbook.com/
